Lessons

The drawing and painting classes are designed to help the student master lighting and form. Understanding the way light falls over an object and creates shadow and depth is an excellent basis for beautiful portraits. These projects can be done with pencil, charcoal, or monochromatic oil paint. The lessons follow the sight-size teaching methods used in the world's best ateliers. Moving on, we learn how to create portraits by drawing a plaster cast of a face in charcoal. This exercise can also be done in oil paints. With this basis, the student can then learn portrait painting using the limited colour pallet. When students are ready we paint portraits from life.

Beginners or advanced artists are welcome!
